Privacy Policy: FastX Couriers for Shopify

This policy explains how the FastX Couriers Shopify app ("the App") collects, uses and protects information when a merchant installs it on a Shopify store. The App is operated by FastX Couriers, Pakistan ("FastX", "we").

Information we collect

When a merchant installs the App, we receive the following through the Shopify API:

• Store information: the store's myshopify domain and an access token issued by Shopify.
• Order information for orders the merchant views or books in the App: order number, line items, order total, outstanding (COD) balance, total weight and order note.
• Customer shipping information on those orders: the recipient's name, shipping address, city and phone number.

We also store the FastX API key and password that the merchant enters in the App settings, so the store can be linked to their FastX account.

How we use the information

• To create courier shipments with FastX when the merchant books an order.
• To mark the order as fulfilled in Shopify and add the FastX tracking number and tracking link.
• To print shipping labels and show shipment status to the merchant.
• To provide customer support to the merchant.

Order and customer data is read only when the merchant opens the App or books a shipment. Orders that are not booked are not stored by us.

Sharing

Shipment details (recipient name, address, phone, COD amount, weight and item description) are shared with our courier delivery partner only to pick up and deliver the parcel. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Retention and deletion

• Booked shipment records are kept in the merchant's FastX account for delivery, cash-on-delivery settlement, claims and legal record keeping.
• When Shopify sends us a customer redaction request, we remove the customer's name, phone and address from the related shipments.
• When the App is uninstalled, the store access token is deleted immediately. All store data held by the App is deleted when Shopify sends the shop redaction request (48 hours after uninstall).

Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Shopify access tokens and FastX API passwords are stored encrypted, and API passwords on the FastX portal are stored as one-way hashes. Access to merchant data is limited to the merchant's own account and authorised FastX staff.

Your rights

Merchants and their customers can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information by contacting us at the email below. Customers of a store may also contact the store owner, who can forward the request to us through Shopify.
